SINULOG FESTIVAL
The City of Cebu is popularly known to be the "Princess of the South".It is located at the 7th region of the Philippines. It is also believed that it was the second most significant metropolitan center in the said country. Cebu City is made more famous by its festival called "Sinulog".
Sinulog is one of the most visited because it is said to be one of the grandest and most festive festivals all over the world. It is celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January in every year. It is giving thanks and praise to the Holy Child Señor Santo Niño.
Celebrating such festival, many foreigners are rushing to the Queen City of the South, Cebu City, to witness the way Cebuanos present their discrete way of praising Señor Santo Niño.
Not only the foreigners are making their way to Cebu City, but also some true Filipinos, that come from the different parts of the Philippines, they are may be from Luzon, from Mindanao, or from the island where Cebu settles, the Visayas.
Many of them would come just to visit to do an offering in the form of dance to the Holy Child.
And because of that, it gives an idea to the government to have the so-called Sinulog Foundation, which allows them to dance as contingents of Sinulog at the Grandstand found at Abellana National School Grounds, also known as the Cebu City Sports Complex.
Last January 16, 2012, one of the performers who dances in front of many people in the Grandstand was the contingent all the way from Zamboanga, Sibugay.
Under the strikingly heat of the sun, after dancing for how many hours along the street, and while waiting for their time to perform their ritual dances for the Sinulog Mardi Gras at Cebu City Sports Complex. At exactly 12 noon on that day, they were exactly at P. Del Rosario St., where the University of San Carlos-Main is located. These photos shown are taken during a hot noonie
last January 16, 2012.
They are not minding the people who are taking some pictures on them, or with them.

But mind you, they are spending all their performing energy during the presentation of their dances.
These pictures are taken during their Street Dance at Osmeña Boulevard, Cebu City, reaching their way to the performing stage.
